I saw this great simple
part. I thought of the cool way I would model this. It is funny a
Creo fellow said four steps! They count each sketch a step, I count
each entity created a step.

further down the page if you would like to try this yourself.
ZW3D is a sketch based system so it is easy for the major CAD system
users to get up to speed fast. But it also has Primitive Shape to
work with the eliminate the sketch and extrude step.
Watch how fun this is the added functionality of primitive shapes.
We will set the units to MM and insert a primitive cylinder on the
XZ plane and size it.
Now
we will insert a primitive block on to the face of the cylinder. I
could sketch the shape but I want to show you how the primitives
work, they are quite fast when you learn the basics. We size it and
set it to remove.
I have found that shelling is not one of features considered by many
of the constrained sketching only users. I look at a part and see
shapes. I can do this because I was first introduced to Boolean
based solid modeling, now called direct edit. We will using shelling
here.
We put in the 19 mm fillet and shell the shape at 5 mm wall and 10
mm on the farside.
We
will add the fillets.
Working with primitive shapes it fun,
but sketching is faster in many cases. So we will create the sketch
on the front face.
I will use StreamLined Sketching by
locating and sizing a circle and then a rectangle using the tangents
of the circle to size it.
We
trim the entities and we are done with the sketch. No constraints.
Exit the sketch and extrude the profile and set to remove.
We
are done with our part. You can see I do this much differently than
those that are only experinenced with constrained sketching.

this part is in one file.
It is very important that you look into
how you or your engineers are creating the parts. Streamline
