Automatic CAM

ZW3D provides powerful CAM functionality in one seamless environment, capable of generating CNC toolpaths from 2-axis through to full 5-axis. Automatic analysis of the ZW3D model, through the built-in strategy optimization, enables the identification of pockets, holes and surface topology enabling it to apply the most appropriate tools and cutterpath.

Adaptive Machining

Rough and finish machining operations consider stock material, clamps and the rest material left after each operation, minimizing air cutting, while adaptive feedrate control modifies cutting conditions according to the engagement of the tool, increasing tool life and improving the quality of the finished part. High speed machining routines allow the machining of hard materials with highly smoothed toolpaths which produce a uniform and high quality surface finish.
5-axis machining

Optional 5-axis toolpaths include a range of strategies such as Planecut which keeps the tool perpendicular to the surface and Swarfcut which keeps the side of the tool in contact with the surface, offering a wide range of options to the programmer.
